Our compact space combines computer workstations, showrooms for kitchen and bath designs and a small loft suspended above it all.  Don’t let the size of their workspace fool you. Remodeling projects range between $8,000 and $12,000 for a simple bath remodel to between $25,000 and $80,000 for kitchen remodels.  A more extensive project, like a home renovation that includes a new kitchen, master bedroom and master bath, can run between $120,000 and $350,000.

A New Kitchen and Van Slyke Construction, Inc. are located at 2971 Beech St., in South Park, San Diego. The kitchen and bath design venture was a way for the Van Slykes to get more creative with their construction and trade skills. Doing the heavy lifting are three Van Slyke brothers: Dwight, Brad and Mike along with two of their sons. The family-oriented business provides an advantage to employees and customers alike.

Van Slyke Construction, Inc. does the construction work for A New Kitchen.  Learn more about our Insurance and License Information.

The South Park Community

We strive to be responsible members of the community in which we live and work.  A New Kitchen is offering free neighborhood cooking classes. We also use environmentally friendly building and cleaning materials whenever possible. The Van Slyke’s are a sponsor of the North Park Little League and the Balboa Tennis Club, where Dwight is President.

Mabel Van Slyke, Dwight’s mother, has lived in South Park since 1957, in a 1916 home for which she says she spent $16,500. She raised her family there, with six boys and three girls, she watched them grow up to begin families and careers of their own.  Her brood didn’t stray far from home, though. In fact, on any given day she can find them just around the corner at A New Kitchen.

A new kitchen, San Diego a kitchen and bath design and remodeling company in the heart of San Diego's South Park Neighborhood wants to give back to their clients and neighbors. With A new Kitchen's slogan being "A New Kitchen, A New Way of Life!", what better way to help their clients than by offering a healthy cooking demonstration every month in their showroom on Beech Street. "In our years of experience, we have found that a simple kitchen remodel can change lives," Dwight Van Slyke, the owner of A New Kitchen says. "Before the kitchen remodel, a family might go out for dinner three or four times every week not wanting to cook in their old kitchen. But after the kitchen remodel they enjoy being in their new kitchen and want to cook more but really might not know how. These demonstrations will get our clients and neighbors going in the right direction toward their new healthy way of life."
